MICHAEL  KRONDL

Souvenir of a Mountain Garden

Greer, SC  2016

The piece, a permanent commission of Greenville-Spartanburg airport was inspired by early 20th century hand-colored  postcards.  The image is a photographic rendering of mountain blossoms shot in the nearby Smoky Mountains.  The image, a little larger than life scale, invites the viewer to step into a garden informed as much by memory as imagination.
